About Kinfold

A Place Where Families Can Learn Together

Founded in Bangkok with one clear purpose: give families practical tools for clearer communication and tidier household records — without judgement, pressure, or overreach.

Our Story

How Kinfold Began

Kinfold grew out of a straightforward observation: many Bangkok families wanted a calmer way to handle everyday household conversations and paperwork, but found existing options either too formal or out of reach.

We opened our doors in Samphanthawong to offer something different — small, welcoming group sessions focused on practical skills anyone can carry home and use the same day. No jargon. No pressure. No commitment beyond the session itself unless families choose to continue.

From the start, our scope has been clear: general education and organising support. For matters needing qualified professionals or official bodies, we say so plainly and point families in the right direction.

Our Mission

What Drives Us

We believe that when families can speak more calmly with one another and find their key documents without stress, everyday life becomes a little lighter. That is the modest but meaningful goal behind every Kinfold session.

Honesty about scope. We are educators and organisers, not counsellors or legal advisers.

Respect for pace. Every family moves at its own speed and that is always fine with us.

Warmth without pressure. Attendance is always voluntary; our tone stays encouraging, never urgent.

How We Work

Our Standards & Practices

Clear Scope Declaration

Every session begins with a plain explanation of what Kinfold does and does not cover. Participants always know they are receiving general education, not professional advice.

Data Privacy — PDPA Aligned

We handle all personal information in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Participant details are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Facilitator Development

Our facilitators refresh their skills regularly through adult-education continuing development. We stay current with group facilitation methods and plain-language communication.

Participant Feedback Loop

After each session, participants receive a short feedback form. Responses shape the next version of each workshop — we genuinely read and act on what families tell us.

Referral Readiness

We maintain an up-to-date list of qualified professionals and official bodies in Thailand so we can point families promptly to the right support when their needs go beyond our scope.

Document Handling Protocol

During Records Organising Sessions, facilitators handle documents only to assist with sorting and labelling. We never photograph, copy, or retain any participant document.

Family Communication Skill-Building in Bangkok

Bangkok families come to Kinfold for many different reasons. Some want to practise speaking more calmly during household decisions. Others have a drawer full of documents they have never sorted through. A few simply want to join a community of people working on the same things.

Whatever brings someone through our doors in Samphanthawong, the experience is the same: a calm room, a small group, a clear agenda, and facilitators who keep things practical. We do not try to resolve every challenge in a single session. We give families one or two tools they can genuinely use, then step back.

Our work sits firmly in the space of general education and administrative organising. Families dealing with matters that need qualified legal, financial, or wellbeing professionals are always directed to seek that support. We make this clear from the first enquiry onward.

Over time, members of the Family Learning Membership often share that the peer community aspect matters as much as the workshops themselves — knowing that other Bangkok families are working through similar everyday household questions, and that there is a supportive, moderated space to compare notes.
